Anyone who has spent time in the OCI Console knows the drill: dig through menus, remember which compartment you were in, and search the docs when something breaks. Console AI is a new way to skip a lot of that. It’s a conversational assistant built right into the Console, currently in preview.
Introduction:
Console AI is a conversational assistant built into the OCI Console, currently in preview. It lets you work in natural language to explore resources, create and manage supported OCI resources, troubleshoot issues, understand billing and usage, and learn common OCI tasks.
How to launch it
- Sign in to the OCI Console.
- On the home page, scroll down to Experience Previews.
- Select Launch Console AI.
What it does
You type what you want in natural language, and Console AI helps you:
- Explore your resources
- Create and manage supported OCI resources
- Troubleshoot issues
- Understand billing and usage
- Learn how to complete common OCI tasks
It also picks up your current context, like your selected region, compartments, and permissions, so the answers are relevant to where you actually are.

Click on Each Prepopulated Prompt and get the required output
What was my tenancy's total cost for the immediately preceding full UTC calendar month? Infer the month from today's date without asking me to confirm it. Return the exact start and end timestamps and the total cost rounded to 2 decimal places in the tenancy's billing currency.
A quick caution
Console AI is a limited, pre-production pilot. Don’t use it with production data or share sensitive information while you explore it.
