Coalgate Scam by Congress

hat the UPA government has used the same ‘zero loss’ argument, which it used in the 2G spectrum case, in defending the Coalgate is pathetic. Who is the Finance Minister trying to fool when he says there is no loss since the coal still lies unexploited? The coal he is talking about does not belong to the country any more. It has been given away to individuals. The argument has scotched any meaningful discussion on the issue in Parliament. Yet, that is the only forum for the Opposition to expose the government.

Had the Finance Minster given the ‘zero loss’ explanation as soon as coalgate surfaced, a section of the media would have perhaps bought it. Anyway, he has managed to confuse some.
People were, in fact, surprised when the Prime Minister pointed out that the CAG’s computation of losses was flawed and misleading, but did not emulate Kapil Sibal who was the first to use India’s greatest contribution to mathematics — zero — to multiply the figure arrived at by the CAG in the 2G issue. The Finance Minister’s clarification comes as a great relief.
